ELIZABETE BALČUS [flute, voice, electronics, LV]

ELIZABETE BALČUS is a Latvian musician and performance artist who creates neo-psychedelic dream pop through surprising juxtapositions of genres, blending collage, melody, and experimentation. She develops a strong visual aesthetic inspired by modern surrealism, contemporary fashion, and geometric imagery. In her musical universe, everything is permitted: loops of flute and vocals, clicking electro-pop rhythms, and even vegetables played as synthesizers. Her live performances plunge the audience into a psychedelic and theatrical experience, both disconcerting and captivating. Apart from her numerous musical collaborations, she has released two critically acclaimed albums – ‘Hotel Universe’ and ‘Conarium’. Both releases were accompanied by extensive touring across Europe, Canada, Japan and Taiwan.
On this occasion, Elizabete will deliver a more improvised performance based on flute, voice, live looping, samples and synths.
